I thought I'd share with you one of my favourite stylists / leading ladies of all time,
Brix Smith-Start.
Formerly Chicago based, Brix spent many years as a guitarist/vocalist for British post-punk band, The Fall. In 1985 The Fall lead Brix to embark on a side project, The Adult Net, where she recorded further work with members of The Smiths, Blondie's - Clem Burke and James Eller from The The. She toured with The Bangles and in 1994 and even auditioned, but declined, a replacement role for Kristin Pfaff, the late Bassist for Hole.

In 2002 she married a wonderful chap, Philip Start, and today own four boutiques and an online store in East London. You may have ventured by the Rivington Street (cnr) store in Shoreditch on your travels once painted by LCC surface design students. I love.
